This is an all over workout suitable for everyone but especially those with lower than normal levels of bone mineral density (Osteoporosis). Osteoporosis is a degenerative syndrome of the bones that is almost twice as common in woman due to menopause and lower bone density. Weight bearing exercise, balance work, light resistance work, stretching and back extension work are all here for you to reduce your risks but also to offer a safe workout option. Flexion of the spine can compress the spine and cause fractures if you have Osteoporosis, so for that reason, no flexion based exercises are in this class. This is also a pregnancy safe exercise if you listen to the options of propping yourself up instead of lying flat on your back. Lauren x
