Lauren Reid

098 -3rd July, 2020 Floor and Core Part 2 with guest Riana Begg

Riana is a qualified Pilates instructor, Personal trainer and Remedial Massage therapist. She chose to work in the health and fitness industry because she believes that when individuals are inspired and empowered to make healthy choices there is a ripple effect out into the world that makes the world a better place. Her passion for educating women about Pelvic Floor Health is due to a belief that when women have functional pelvic floor muscles they have more fun in life.

In this series of two class she teaches the basics of pelvic floor health and pelvic floor exercises. The health of your pelvic floor muscles is directly linked to your quality of life, whether it is joining a group exercise class with the confidence that you can complete it without leakage, or experiencing the pleasure and connection in your personal life that results from a healthy, functional and strong pelvic floor. The first class provides a theoretical overview of the core and floor region, what can go wrong and what to do if it does, and the principles of training the muscles. The second class is a basic practical guided pelvic floor class that can be done as often as needed until you are confident in practicing your pelvic floor exercises in more advanced and functional activities.
